Senior Citizens are Well taken care off in Singapore

Was In Manila, Philippines and was in the supermarket (SM).

The have a check-out counter strictly for senior citizens. Isnt that cool.

I really like this place a lot and everything here seems so cheap and language barrier as almost everyone speaks English.

Apart from having a designated check-out counter in the supermarket. Senior also enjoys a 20% discount all items.

What do get here in our country? NTUC is one of the largest chain of supermarket but we still dont have a designated check-out counter for senior citizen. With our current senior citizen card you merely get a fare rebate for buses and the metro only on designated timings only.
In Manila, you get 20% off on taxi fare, medical bills (private and public) not just your grocery shopping.
I would say it is very clever of the government to implement this rule as the responsibilities of taking care of the senior citizen does not fall on to the hands of the government but to all the organization in the country therefore freeing the government of this liabilities.
