Losing Your Cool and Making a Fool

Was down with a flu and went to the doctor after going to school. Had medication and soon in a drowsy mode eventhough th medication wasnt suppose to make me drowsy. So I got knock out while taking my afternoon nap at the hotel.

Woken up by the Mr Wong phone call and then decided to go for training after dinner in that drowsy mode. Tuned Mr Wong's bow and made the strings for one of the boys and due to the effects of the medication I was not able to do the closing for for the serving.

Mr Wong thinks that i should take a look at this arrows and i did once and then he claims that the repeatedly called me the second time and i ignore him.

He was upset and he blew his top and drove like a mad man. When he arrived at the hotel he threw the keys at in the car and stomped off.

I couldnt find the key and certainly i cant arm the vehicle and therefore didnt go up to the room and he called and i explained that i couldnt find the keys. He came down and searched for the keys and then went upstairs to the room.

I took a quick shower n slept int he bed while he just sat on the sofa and then later in the night he slept on the floor....

Why did he pay so much for the room and decided to sleep on the floor or the sofa?
Why didnt want to waste the breakfast in the hotel?

I have not answer but i know losing your cool and make a fool.... Not just that losing your cool and not just make yourself a fool but make it a talking for others to talk about in CDANS.

My Second Silver

Woke up in the morning still undecided about whether I should participate in the NUS Invitational Shoot. So I was there so why not I just go and have fun.

Thought I could have sufficient time to grab my breakfast but oh no!! Shortly after registration, Archers was called to the equipment to for checking of equipment. My adrenaline was pumping. The welfare manager, Margaret had fried rice and fried noodles and ground sheets and chairs and even drink. She suggested that I get some food before I shoot.

Yeah good idea, after that I feel a little more comfortable. After the checking of equipment, the sighting round starts and everyone was excited except me because I didnt have a target in mind and i think i will just shoot for fun and do my best.

Soon my arrows were hitting yellow and red.... then the thrill begins.... and unknowling my score for the 50 meters was 278 after 6 rounds of 6 arrows per end.

The time came to change my target face for 30 meters.. and the coach stay behind to study my arrow pattern and sugges that I aim a little higher when i am getting tired and my score was 291 after 6 ends after 6 arrows per end.

MY TOTAL SCORE WAS 569. I came to me as a surprise that i came in second losing by one point to the gold medalist.

So I did Mr wong proud. I called him and almost burst into tears because i was happy and yet sad cos he was not able to be with me to share my victory.

Philosophy of Life

1) What is "Yes' today can be 'NO' tomorrow.

2) What is near is far and what is far is near.

3) What is your will be yours and what is not will never be.

4) What you have is not what you do not have and what you do not have is what you have.

5) What will come will always turn up and what will leave will certainly takes it course.

6) What is less is more and what is more is less.

Live your life with these philosophy.

Attitude Is A Big Word

The saying goes "Your Attitude determines your Altitude" If one knows of his weakness but does not improve on his weakness and or take now of his weakness or change his or her attitude it will be forever stagnant.

One day, one some said to me "I do not know very much but if I have done wrong please tell me." Well, that means he/she has now had a secretary that tell him/her what he/she has done is not acceptable...

Nowadays, schedule are hectic and yet to tell others what he/she has done wrong? All it takes is the attitude to complete task and deal with it discuss about it. No feedback doesnt mean it is good. So in order to check your task... Take a mirror and check on yourself. That was what i learn.

Why not take a mirror and reflect upon yourself. The First Lesson I had with Mrs Carolyn Tan (now the Principle of PHS). It is to reflect upon yourself instead of asking people to help you check on your task. That was a wonderful lesson while doing the work for this dynamic lady. My lesson learn was to she uses The 48 Laws of Power". I learn not because she teaches me how to do things but tell what she wants and I was to interpret what she wants and work with her.

I enjoy working with her because she is very dynamic and always smiling and warm. She would reply my email at 5am in the morning and most probably before leaving her house to go to work. She is very humble and from her I learn about nano technology, M&M, OM it was all full of meaningful acronyms. She is an eloquent speaker. I will always remember her. She was the one who contributed to my studies that I applied all the examples she uses to my assignment 48 Laws of Power.

Learning does not come with what others got to teach you but learn is also by observing and opening your eyes and ears. Learn itself an attitude... either you see remember without trying it OR learning can be seeing and ask what the hack do i got to do all this for her? OR learning itself is I got this done and I find out how I can improve it.

Doing not only what you are required to but do it beyond expectations.. In that way, only you can strive for excellence.... Paper qualification may not mean anything if your attitude is not there.

Ponder over it.
